All devices and elements of decentralised energy based on different generation sources, such as RES, nuclear, conventional sources generate a huge amount of data. They also require internal and external communication and event prediction. Information is collected from weather forecasts or current energy prices, as well as from users, energy meters, appliances, charging stations in order to be able to use it optimally later on.

The SPS Soft system is equipped with its own server room and an industrial computer that collects and processes data from various devices such as wind turbines, photovoltaic installations and energy storage. In this way, users can not only observe the status of each source, but also decide when energy should be fed back into the grid and when it should be stored.
SPS Soft also makes it possible to manage other controllable equipment, such as pumps or generators, allowing energy production to be adjusted even more precisely to current needs.
Where it already works
The SPS Soft system by ZPUE S.A. has been successfully implemented at an electric city bus depot in Kraków, where it monitors bus charging stations and archives data on their use. This allows for the dynamic use of stored energy. Through a user-friendly interface, the system offers users visualisation and optimisation of equipment operation, allowing fleet management and remote viewing at any time.
Following ZPUE’s delivery of transformer stations, low- and medium-voltage switchgear, chargers and bus connections, 120 buses are currently being charged from five charging stations in Kraków with the help of SPS Soft.
Energy storage facilities require a dedicated solution
A sub-system to SPS Soft is SPS Control, which acts as the ‘brain’ of the energy storage. It controls the communication between the inverter and the battery, enabling them to work together and ensuring the efficient use of stored energy. It is a stand-alone solution, but in combination with SPS Soft it forms a comprehensive management mechanism.
